Gary Marcus Andrews

Gary Marcus Andrews, 70, died Wednesday July 11, 2007 at Candler Hospital.

He was a native of Carlsbad, New Mexico and was retired from the Georgia Ports Authority after twenty years of service as a Security Officer. He was also retired from the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen R. Andrews, of Wilmington Island, his daughter, Dannette M. Andrews-Daniels, of Montrose, Colorado, his stepson, Kelly R. Thompson, of Savannah, his stepdaughter, Lorretta K. Peebbles , of Savannah, and his grandson, Dakota Peebles, of Savannah.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 15, 2007 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

Graveside services will be 12:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2007 at Beaufort National Cemetery.
